Såhär i efterhand har jag funderat över vilken bild jag ger av vårt land. Jag gör en Homekorva och citerar vad jag själv skrev i en kursuvärdering i höstas: I come from a country that defines itself primarily through natural tropes and myths - we are not e.g. the land of the free or brave, we are the land of a thousand lakes; the forest is referred to as our 'green gold', and so on. A lot of people voluntarily spend the greater part of their summer vacations in small cottages by the seaside or a lake without electricity and running water and only an outhouse [...] That said, this course has also made me reflect more on my stance towards nature in relation to the national stance and contemplate whether this is just a romanticized version of what people actually think.
Vilken bild av mitt land vill jag projicera? Om folk överhuvudtaget vet något om Finland, har det generellt sett med köld att göra - är det inte kallt där? Vore det inte ett perfekt tillfälle att visa något mer? Vad är något mer? Vad är Finland?

tack :) det är faktiskt din yngsta dotter, tror jag, hoppas att det är okej.
Jag försökte faktiskt tänka igenom både garderob och knän i egen familj, men tyckte att benen var alldeles för långa och raka för att kunna vara E:s eller M:s. Borde kanske ha en "reality check" (har vi lärt oss av Cowell).
